How do I find what's right for me?
Traditional Tanners carries a variety of tools and learning resources.  We offer detailed descriptions of each item that let you know what it is best used for, and what it is best used in conjunction with. We'll also let you know what a learning resource won't tell you, and what a tool isn't good for. That way you can be confident you are getting only what you need. 

We don't try to push one particular method. We know that different techniques work for different people. We've even built a guide to the different methods to help you figure out which methods are most suitable for you.  If you have specific questions, ask us! And remember, we offer a complete money back guarantee, so if something turns out not to be just what you want, return it.

Is it safe to use my credit card on the Traditional Tanners Website?
Our Card Service International real-time credit card transactions are encrypted using the highest levels of secure socket layer technology (SSL), and guaranteed against fraud (see next paragraph). It encrypts all of your personal information,  including credit card number, name, and address, so that it cannot be read as the information travels over the Internet.

The Traditional Tanners Safe Shopping Guarantee protects you while you shop at Traditional Tanners, so that you never have to worry about credit card safety.

  • We guarantee that every transaction you make at Traditional Tanners will be 100% safe. This means you pay nothing if unauthorized charges are made to your card as a result of shopping at Traditional Tanners. 

  • Under the Fair Credit Billing Act, your bank cannot hold you liable for more than $50.00 of fraudulent charges. If your bank does hold you liable for any of this $50.00, Traditional Tanners will cover the entire liability for you, up to the full $50.00. How do I shop at Traditional Tanners Supply?
From the main shopping area, choose a category from the categories menus on the left. This will give you a list of products within the category you chose. If a product looks interesting to you, click it's image to see it bigger and find out more about it. If you think you might want to buy this product, enter the quantity you want to add to your shopping basket, and click the add to basket button (remember, you can always take a product out of your basket later, by clicking on the 'Basket Contents' link at the top of every page).

When you're finished adding products to your shopping basket, and you're ready to buy, click on checkout near the top right of the screen. This will begin your secure checkout process, where you will fill out ship to and bill to addresses, choose your shipping option, see the total cost of your order, and enter your credit card number for real-time credit authorization.

After placing your order you will receive a receipt of your transaction on-screen and through email.

How do I order by regular mail?
The easiest way is to utilize our shopping basket system, and go through the 'Checkout' process until you get to the page where it says 'Submit Order'. 

  • Mail: For mail order, you can either print that page out or simply write the information down, and then send it in with your check or m.o.. Our postal address is Traditional Tanners Supply, 1700 East Nevada St, Ashland OR 97520.

Yes. We consider the information you choose to share with us confidential. We will not share, rent or sell any of your personal information.

How long will it take to receive my order?
When you place an order, your credit-card transaction is processed in real-time, and your order is completely processed within one business day. All orders are shipped within three days of when we receive them, more often than not, they go out the morning after you place your order. We must admit that we sometimes go away for a weekend or a few times a year, for a week. So the day we receive them isn't always the same day you order....but it is nearly all of the time. The amount of time it takes for your order to arrive once it has been shipped depends on which shipping option you choose. So, if you were to choose Priority Mail as your shipping option, it should take about three days to receive your order. Standard mail can take up to two weeks though it is usually far less than that.

What about sales tax and shipping charges?
We live in Oregon where there is no sales tax, which we find quite enjoyable, and you will too.

We can ship to virtually any address in the world. We use the United States Postal Service or UPS to ship items. You select the proper shipping method and rate during checkout.. We offer the following USPS shipping services...

For US and Canadian addresses:

  • Standard (for books & videos only) This is the cheapest way to send books or videos. USPS regulations require us to only use this method for books and videos, so if you are ordering tools too, you need to select Priority.
  • Priority: For tools, or a combination of tools & videos

For International addresses:

  • Global Priority:

Shipping rates are calculated during checkout (after you enter the ship to and bill to addresses), and you choose the appropriate service  from a drop-down list. If you are not happy with any of your shipping service options, simply leave to stop the check out process.

What is your return policy?
Traditional Tanners offers an unlimited Money Back Guarantee. If you are dissatisfied with your purchase for any reason, return your purchase to us and we will refund your money immediately.
