These brain tanned raccoon skins have prime plush fur and are extremely well tanned: even the faces are soft. Thinned to a uniform thickness and smoked, these brain tanned raccoon furs make beautiful coonskin hats, vests, wall hangings, purses, arrow quivers, uppers for winter moccasins or boots, mittens or as trim on a shirt or coat. We only tan and sell ‘nuisance’ raccoon hides (trapped by government trappers). By tanning them, we are making use of hides that may otherwise go to waste. Choose your size below. More to come.
